The San Juan River is a world-class fly-fishing destination located in beautiful northwestern NM. Located around 3 hours from Albuquerque, NM, this area attracts anglers from near and far. 

The four miles of the San Juan River located below Navajo Dam in New Mexico are designated by the state of NM's Department of Game and Fish as catch and release "Quality Waters". Trout species found here include Rainbow Trout, Brown Trout, and Cutbows.

Famous for its trophy sized trout and fish density of 12,000 - 15,000 fish per mile, it is ranked one of the top tail water streams in the United States and attracts anglers from across the world. Due to New Mexico's mild weather, anglers enjoy year-round fishing on the San Juan River.

*If needed, waders can be rented locally for approximately $25

In addition to the boat and expertise provided, rods, leaders, tippet, flies, and water are included. For a full day trip, a simple lunch usually consisting of a sandwich, chips, and sodas will also be provided. You are also welcome to bring any specific snacks or drinks that you prefer to have on hand. 

Upon confirmation, and as weather and other conditions are more available, meet-up time and location will be finalized.

Depending on the time of year, weather, and conditions, meet-up times will be vary. Trips will start anywhere between 6 and 8 am.
